The Castle Theatre
In the Castle Theatre, founded in 1674 by Duke Georg Wilhelm and the oldest baroque theatre in Europe possessing its own ensemble and still staging performances today, there are classical pieces, modern theatre from young authors, and readings by famous guest stars on the programme of the main stage and the Maler hall. Tickets to performances and the summer concerts in the inner castle courtyard are very much in demand, so it is recommended that one makes early reservations.
