Celle for Horse Lovers
The state stud farm of Lower Saxony, founded in 1735 by Georg II, King of England and Elector of Hanover, is the annual gathering place of multitudes of horse lovers on the occasion of the traditional stallion parades in the last three weekends in September. The famous Hanover warm-blood enjoys a world reputation; some of the most successful jumping horses have emerged here from breeding. Our guests are welcome to take a tour in the period between July 16th to February 14th.
Dates for the stallion parades in 2006: September 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th, and 30th.
