The Ducal Castle for Friends of Music

Would you have thought that Celle is an insider’s tip as destination for music lovers? For years, the world’s best musicians, orchestras, ensembles, and singers perform concerts here and come back over and over to ‘their’ Celle castle. Examples are the 12 cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Katia and Marielle Labeque, Leif Ove Andsnes and Christoph Prégardien, and the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra under Jörg Faerber with Sabine Meyer, clarinet.

Further big names are: Natalia Gutman and Elisso Wirssaladze, and the Russian State Symphony Orchestra under Valerij Poliansky with Linus Roth, violin. For a song evening: Juliana Banse and Olaf Bär and once again, with a special concert, the Alban Berg Quartet.
