The largest ensemble of half-timbered houses in Europe, the Ducal Palace or the New Town Hall: Celle is rich in sites. There is also the town church St. Mary with its impressive nave or the synagogue which is one of the oldest Jewish places of worship in Northern Germany. Celle’s parks and gardens, however, offer sensual treats.

4 different exhibitions from May, 14th to 12th of November 2017
In remembrance to 500 years of Reformation, the Bomann Museum, the Residenz Museum at the Celler Schloss and the evangelic Stadtkirche St. Marien are putting an special exhibition.
The rural stud in Celle is also used for a range of events, such as the Celle stallion parade on 17th, 23rd amd 24th of September 2017. The stallions with their impressive harnesses and the riders with the historic uniforms transform the parade ground into a great show venue.
Celle's Christmas market, from 30th of November to 27th of December 2017, is one of the prettiest in northern Germany. Twinling lights, traditional gingerbread and fir sprigs transfrom Celle town centre into a "winter-wonder-land" every year for four weeks.
